Bidii Primary School has amazing learners. Their school motto is “Better Your Best,” and the 2000 kids have great mindsets to make the most of their learning. Classrooms have up to 80 students, yet the room only has about 30 desks. Everyone has a chair but many are without backs. Yet the one thing we never heard at this school was a complaint.

During our visit, Anne the headteacher showed us some of the classrooms were in desperate need of repair. A few classrooms had broken roof tiles, leaky boards, and even open ceiling panels that resulted in very cold rooms in the winter and extreme heat in the summer. We told her that fixing these rooms could be a Kindness Adventure. And when we provided the funds to get all the materials and labor to repair their building, it was!

During their next school break, the classrooms were fixed and ready to be used once again. As a result, the children now have a better environment for learning. No leaking roofs or no dust falling from the ceiling, and no holes to the outside. Even the veranda has new ceiling boards and fresh paint and looks beautiful.

We’re so thankful to be connected to the staff and learners at Bidii Primary School, and we were honored to be able to extend them some needed kindness!
